| AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
Although one born, we are all destined to die,
for we know it is inevitable. However, if death happens to someone
due to their inability to avert certain avoidable factors, it
is indeed pathetic and lamentable. This includes: Those who have
no access to proper medical facilities such as hospitals and treatments
in their locality; those who are unable to pay even the registration
fee of Chinese RMB 100-200, let alone paying the high bills for
medicine and treatment; those who have to travel endless miles
to reach the nearest hospital even in case of high emergency;
and those who, unable to pay the high cost of treatments and surgeries,
wait for death with a smile only to conceal their helplessness
from others and console their family members. |
For
years together, the widespread of a variety of diseases, non-availability
of proper medical diagnosis and medication, lack of surgical facilities,
illiteracy and lack of awareness on health and hygiene have further
aggravated the problems of people, especially those below the
poverty line in the rural areas. The project thus aims to provide
a complete support system in the field of health and medicine
to the 7000 residents of Dankhok. It also aims to preserve the
centuries-old tradition of providing medicine and treatment free
of cost. The project will work to provide medicine and financial
aids for the betterment of their health.
