PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
The
project mainly concerns the construction of a four-storied hospital
near the Tare Temple in Dankhok. The hospital will have 70 rooms
for different purposes. The hospital will house separate consultation
sections for Tibetan and Chinese medicine, an X-ray lab, a pharmacy
for Tibetan and allopathic sections, a labour room, a laboratory
for blood testing, a dressing and first-aid rooms, and in-patient
words. The size and number of sections will be decided as per
needs and budget. The hospital will be open to all, irrespective
of caste, creed or financial position in the community, and will
extend whatever medical care and support might be necessary until
a patient recovers from his or her illness. Under the project
the poor and the downtrodden will be provided free medicine and
treatment. The hospital will also provide food, free of cost,
to every sick person and to one attendant each of the patients.
The management of the hospital will ensure that
every patient is nursed and attended with great love, care and
affection. It will call for greatest precision in the diagnosis
of a disease and effective medication for a complete cure.
Equipments Needed In Hospital
APPEAL
I have so far experienced great hardship in collecting
funds for the hospital. For two and a half months, I tirelessly
walked the streets of Tibetan settlement, monasteries and markers.
Sometimes moving in turns, my 14 colleagues and I tread the narrow
lens of 53 Tibetan settlements and communities and more than 20
monasteries. We also traveled to various other places in South
India, Ladakh, and Dharamsala including Manali. Like paupers,
we have walked from dawn till night, knocked every door, and approached
every person- Indian, American, European or others. Wielding a
pen in our hand, a donation slip in our bag, appeal in our mind,
we turned blind to shamefulness and personal image, and thus wandered
everywhere seeking donations. Despite much pain and hardship,
we would so far collect only an amount slightly more than Indian
Rupees 100,000. This amount, however, is insufficient even for
the mere purchase of the plot for the proposed hospital, let alone
running it.
As
the world and its varied phenomena are interdependent by nature,
nothing can be achieved alone and single-handedly. Likewise the
success of collecting an adequate fund and completion of the proposed
hospital greatly depend on the support and contribution of the
generous sponsors and patrons. I therefore deeply implore you
to empathize with our plight and contribute whatever may be possible
through your compassion and kindness. I pray that with your help,
support and co-operation, the people in Dankhok will see the creation
of a new hospital for the betterment of their life. I firmly believe
that you will extend every necessary support towards this noble
endeavor.
Born in land, where mental happiness it superior
to pleasure derived from material sources, and trained in the
beneficial effects of altruistic thought and actions, I perceive
as a highest form of service to fellow humankind, and in no way,
a mean to hoarding material wealth and riches for personal gains.
